A little Bead Peeps Swap N Hop update … A few weeks back, I introduced you to my bead swap partner Debra Jeffries of Debra’s Divine Designs … now, let me show you all of the amazing bounty she sent!
So many goodies, so little time!
I can not even begin to describe the feelings I had when opening Debbie’s packages … each so wonderfully wrapped, like perfect little christmas presents, and with such super cool containers! Included are not one, not two, but 3 of her incredible handmade, recycled butterfly wing pendants (plus an extra amazing bonus one for me, as well!), some gorgeous peacock blue & lime green glass tear beads, beautiful sea sediment jasper beads, lovely yellow lampwork beads, black moonstone, sparkly crystal beads, crackle glass rock crystal, antique silver & brass components, lots of silver (jump) rings, chain, cord, seed beads … oh my, the list is extensive!
As if that weren’t already plentiful enough … Debbie added so many extra goodies as well! Yummy treats like … chocolate covered pretzels, werther’s toffees & choco toffees, and cool items like … chalkboard signs (perfect for the next art show display!), butterfly washi tape, owl notecards, handy see-thru pouches and a colour yourself ipad case!
I have honestly never been so spoiled in my life (and I have been spoiled by some amazing people!) Saying a mere Thank You to Debbie is hardly enough. I will have to come up with something better …
I have so many ideas already, of pieces to create …. there aren’t enough hours in the day to get them all made! But here’s hoping to showcase a few of them by the big reveal date of May 2! Stay tuned …
If you were curious about what I sent Debbie, and if this teaser was too cryptic of an image … have a look below
While the purpose of this swap is to stretch your swap-ee’s boundaries past their normal comfort zone – I didn’t want to stray too far … so .. this …
… became …
… this!
Sensing a theme here? If you’ve ever had a chance to view some of Debbie’s work, you will have noticed how she creates the most stunning jewellery out of butterfly and moth wings. Hence this selection of goodies … chosen to go with how enamoured she is with butterflies! I centered around some hand made (by me) pendants – consisting of two mixed media collage square focals and one handstamped copper & brass butterfly tag (with the saying “your wings already exist all you have to do is fly”).
Included along with the pendants were … some striped lampwork cubes by River Rock Artglass, a strand of prehnite gemstone cubes, a Vintaj floral brass embellishment, cultured potato pearls, swarovski butterfly beads & bicones, a thai silver butterfly toggle clasp, a patina’d round toggle clasp, floral lampwork beads, some brown (and dark green – not shown) leather lacing and a hand dyed silk ribbon (along with a few other embellishments thrown in for fun!). I sure hope she likes her surprise pack, and I can not wait to see what she ends up creating! We’ll all find out May 2nd
