Happy day-after American Thanksgiving!

In keeping with the theme … the colour palette Dry Gulch Beads has chosen for their creative design challenge this month, is inspired by the vintage Thanksgiving greeting card above. Subtle shades of tassel yellow, artichoke green, whole wheat, chinese red and powder blue make up the palette.

I love the southwest feel to these colours, and have created a lariat/choker necklace showcasing each one!

This design centres around a Czech glass – cornflower blue – peacock lentil bead, with etched lampwork glass beads from Burnt Glass Studio in shades of artichoke and tassel, and then – to round out the design …  some tiny Czech glass seed beads in shades of red, grey/brown and wheat.

A cool thing about this design, is that it can be worn so many different ways … a choker (wrapped multiple times), a lariat necklace, a wrap bracelet, a headband, an armband, an ankle wrap, the possibilities are endless …. a truly versatile piece! (Perfect for festival season!)
